We are pleased to present the first season of Classical Music at indigO2, the intimate concert venue within The O2, a testament to the fantastic new space in London where classical music of the very highest level can be presented in a completely accessible way.

Once the concert begins, audiences will be able to enjoy not just the superb performances but other features that no other concert hall in London is able to offer its patrons; we will be placing minute and unobtrusive state of the art cameras which will beam close-ups of performers hands on the venue's screens, providing concert goers with arguably, never seen before close-up footage of the techniques from some of the greatest musicians in the world.

We have a remarkable line-up in The Classic FM Classical Series in 2008.

In 2008, The Classic FM Classical Series we are presenting offers a remarkable line-up of classical music. In the first 14 concerts, we are hugely honoured and proud to have an association with one of the world's best orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), who will be performing in 7 concerts. These will include Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.4 conducted by Michael Seal, and Dvoräk's Symphony No.9 conducted by Barry Wordsworth, and Rachmaninov's eternally popular Piano Concerto No.2, played by Peter Donohoe, Rodrigo's Concierto d Aranjuez with Xuefei Yang, and Elgar's Cello Concerto with the much celebrated Natalie Clein, among other great favourites.

In addition, on October 17th, we will present a unique Viennese Gala evening. To some of the most famous music in the world, such as the Blue Danube Waltz, Tales of the Vienna Woods and the Thunder and Lightening Polka, the audience can choose to dance the night away on the dancefloor downstairs (where we shall also have tables), or to settle back in the comfort of the Kings Row seats upstairs to enjoy the festivities from above.

On October 29th, the RPO, along with Julian Lloyd Webber and Chloë Hanslip, will perform the UK premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantasia , based on themes of Phantom of the Opera.

December sees two very special nights, forming part of the RPO's indigO2 season. On the 7th, the orchestra will accompany the incredible Bryn Terfel as the great Welsh baritone performs some of his favourite Christmas pieces. If that doesn't get you in the mood for mince pies and mulled wine, then December 22nd will definitely do the trick, as the RPO is joined by the Royal Choral Society and a whole host of very special performers, as they deliver some of the most loved Christmas songs and carols of all time.

We will also be presenting some of the greatest classical artists in the world in recital. The series will feature not only some of the world's most celebrated pianists Boris Berezovsky, Nikolai Demidenko and Grammy winner Garrick Ohlsson, but also Britain's marvelous Grammy- nominated mezzo soprano,Sarah Connelly along with highly regarded Russian cellist Alexander Kniazev, and violinist Dmitri Makhtin, much loved percussionist Evelyn Glennie, and some of the most talked about newcomers to classical lovers - pianists Sophie Cashell who won BBC's Classical Star and the incredible prodigiously talented Russian, Valentina Igoshina.

Please join us after the performance to perhaps meet the artists and enjoy our extensive wine and spirit selection in the plush surroundings on the exclusive Indigo2 Lounge.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to The Classic FM Classical Series in London at indigO2, to enjoy what promises to be some of the most talked about concerts of the year.
